Recent research is proving how important nature is to brain development especially in relation to social, emotional and cognitive skills. This is true for all children, but especially those diagnosed with ADHD, or kids who can't seem to focus, pay attention or have social issues.
Being outside helps kids develop a sense of quiet, calm, and receptivity to impressions and energy as they develop a personal relationship with nature. We are all born with the capacity for certain talents, our "seeds," which need the right nutrients to
grow and reach their potential. Nature is one of those key nutrients, but how it is cultivated and how children experience and connect to it will determine how it affects them.
Join Nancy Monson, Director at the Running River School, to learn how bringing nature closer to your kids' will nurture and change their lives in a positive and lasting way.
